Costume and Prop hire packages:
Key Terms and conditions:
- The cost for the costumes and props packages hire is £400.00. The hire period for costumes is two weeks. Longer hire periods can be arranged for an additional fee.
- Should you require a bespoke selection of props / costumes, please contact us to discuss costs and availability.
- You can collect / return the packages in person from Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire). In exceptional cases we can arrange for the pack to be shipped to you (at additional cost) but the size and range of items included is making this increasingly hard to do (weight and packing restrictions).
- The packages are boxed in 2 x reinforced lockable metal storage trucks for collection. These measure 84cm long, by 50cm wide, by 42cm high. Overall they weigh c. 30kg each. Each can be managed by a single person but we advise 2 people carry them. Additional / overflow items are supplied in large bags. Overall, with packaging, the entire packs weigh just under 100kg. The 2 trunks and the bags can fit into a medium /large sized car.
- Your hire booking is secured with a booking deposit of £100. Unless your hire value is under £100, in which case you must pay in full.
- A refundable security deposit of £200 is also payable with each hire. Any lost or damaged items will be charged for and the balance refunded after the hire period.
- Full payment must be made 5 days in advance of the hire.
- You are responsible for insuring the items throughout your hire period.

Making a booking:
- Please contact us to confirm that the dates you require are available.
- We will then send you a booking form to complete and return to us.
- We will then issue you with an invoice for the hire (including details of how to pay the £100 deposit).
- We’ll ask you to complete and send through a cast measurement form and we will then quickly advise you of any costume requirements that we will struggle to meet due to tricky sizes, so that you can make alternative arrangements for those items.

When the Malford Players made the decision to stage ‘Allo ‘Allo in May 2023, it was with some trepidation that we approached the subjects of Props and Costumes as a potentially mountainous task.
When we found this site and we breathed a huge sigh of relief! The quality of the costumes and props was superb, the coverage was complete and they were hugely helpful in providing suggestions to help with the staging and supplying some extras to help with decorations and front of house.
The package supplied was a large part of enabling us to stage a hugely successful production enjoyed by record audience numbers. We would not hesitate to recommend this package to any other theatre or amateur dramatics group and are very thankful to Milton Keynes Theatre of Comedy for their help and support.
We hired the entire package of costumes, props and sound effects. The conditions were clear, the quality was first class and the arrangement for collection and return very straightforward.
My stress level as director was greatly reduced and I am very grateful to Steve for his help. Hiring from him added an extra layer of quality to our production and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to other groups.
